Extract custom Field in API

I know that currently in the API I can get the custom field information, but I'm talking about the information that I put inside the custom field and applied to the person or project.
Example, I created a custom field to organize the persons in my organization, and in this personalized field I said if the person was team A or B, when I collect the information from people in the API it doesn't come with the information that I put in the custom field which team she belongs to.

My demand is to get the data applied in the custom field.
